This audio theatre performance, fully dramatized and unabridged, was first broadcast on Public Radio International on Thanksgiving Day 2000, and is now available for sale from Lodestone Media, with proceeds to benefit the Los Angeles Children's Museum.

This production of The Wizard of Oz was adapted by Firesign Theatre's David Ossman, and produced and directed by David and Otherworld Media's Judith Walcutt.

In addition to René as The Scarecrow, a few other members of the extensive cast include Robert Guillaume as The Cowardly Lion, Nestor Serrano as The Tin Woodman, Michelle Trachtenberg as Dorothy, Harry Anderson as The Wizard, Annette Bening as Glinda The Good, Phyllis Diller as The Wicked Witch, and Mark Hamill as Munch the Munchkin.
